John Thackara is Director of Doors of Perception (Doors), a sustainability design network active in Europe and India. People participate in Doors who need to imagine sustainable and engaging futures – and take design steps to realize them.

Jonathan Sergison (UK)

Jonathan Sergison was born in 1964 and studied at Canterbury School of Art and the Architectural Association, qualifying as an architect in 1991. He previously worked for David Chipperfield and Tony Fretton prior to establishing his own practice with Stephen Bates in 1996.

José Miguel Iribas (ES)

Sociologist whose area of expertise is territorial, urban architectural and touristic analysis and planning. Until 1990, he was chairman of the Benidorm Advisory Council and simultaneously directed work on the city’s master zoning plan.

Juan Palop Casado (ES)

Juan Palop-Casado is architect and urban planner. He received a Master in Design Studies at Harvard University, where he was part of the research group Project on The City, led by Rem Koolhass. Palop-Casado teaches at the School of Architecture of Las Palmas (Canary Islands).

Kamil Michlewski (UK)

Dr Kamil Michlewski is a Senior Consultant at The Value Engineers – a strategic brand consultancy based in UK. He is an account manager and works with a number of blue-chip clients on issue ranging from global consumer segmentation to brand strategy. Kamil previously worked as a senior strategy lecturer at Newcastle Business School.

Kari Jormakka (FIN/A)

Kari Jormakka
is O. Univ. Professor for architecture theory at the TU Vienna; previously, he has taught at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Ohio State University and the TU Tampere . He he studied architecture and philosophy in Finland and holds a Ph. D. and a Habilitation in architectural theory and history.

Kas Oosterhuis (NL)

Architect Kas Oosterhuis and visual artist Ilona Lénárd are directors of their multidisciplinary design office ONL, practicing the fusion of art, architecture and technique on a digital platform. He is currently Professor at Delft University of Technology, where he has initiated the Hyperbody Research Group focusing on Emotive and Transactive Architecture.

Liane Lefaivre (NL/A)

Liane Lefaivre, historian, critic, curator and theoretician of architecture is the Chair of Architectural History and Theory at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Makoto Sei Watanabe (J)

1976 Completed M.Arch. course at Yokohama National University. 1979 joined Arata Isozaki & Associates. 1984 Established Makoto Sei Watanabe/Architects' Office. Lecturer at the Tokyo Denki University, Housei University,Graduate School Yokohama National University.

Manfred Faßler (D)

o.Univ. Prof. Dr.habil. Graduated in sociology, economics, political science and philosophy from thr Freie Universität Berlin1975; doctorate 1979.

Måns Wrange (S)

Måns Wrange is an artist based in Stockholm who works with long-term projects in which he explores socio-political strategies for changing society.

Marco Murillo (NL)

Marco began his career in commerce at age seven when he launched his first business Blackberries Inc. Marco has since worked at Nike's World headquarters as a Global Footwear Product Line Manager prior to joining Nike’s European Headquarters in The Netherlands.

Marcos Lutyens (US)

is an intermedia artist investigating consciousness, new media and emergent architectures. He has exhibited and conducted collaborative workshops and performances internationally, and is developing ongoing projects in Italy, Germany, Mexico and the United States (principally with D. Frogheri, O.Hess and T.Lopez Winkler).

Marko Ahtisaari (FIN)

Marko Ahtisaari is Director of Design Strategy at Nokia, a world leader in mobile communications. Prior to this role Ahtisaari worked in the Insight & Foresight, Corporate Strategy unit at Nokia where he was responsible for identifying and driving new growth opportunities based on user experience.
