Wolfgang Hauer studied art drawing at the Vancouver Film School, the Artcenter College of Design and Illustration and at the University of Art & Industrial Design. He holds courses for drawing and illustration at the Adult-Education-Center Linz, at the University of Art & Industrial Design Linz and at the University campus02 Graz.

Florian Boehm is a research assistant at the Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics of the Berlin University of Technology (TU Berlin). His current work focuses on knowledge engineering and integration in aviation processes and aeronautical systems. Mr. Boehm studied architecture and aeronautical engineering and graduated with a Dipl.-Ing.

Ole Bouman is editor of Archis International and www.archis.org. He is event designer, writer and curator in architecture, art and design. Recent booksinclude Time Wars, 2003, a revaluation of the time dimension in our society.He was curator of Manifesta 3 in Ljubljana, 2000. He is head of the currentseries of 'rsvp events' in collaboration with AMO, to be held in 9 globalcities.


Andrew Bullen has spent his working life moving between creative disciplines, cultures and societies: From working for the Brecht family and university teaching in East Berlin in the 80s to directing Content & Strategy for the pioneering Europe Online in the 90s in Luxembourg.

Simonetta Carbonaro is Consumer Psychologist and Expert for Innovation Management and Strategic Design. She is professor of Humanistic Marketing and Design Management at the University of Borås in Sweden. There she is building a competence center for new marketing strategies for saturated markets and is doing research in consumer behavior and social und cultural changes in our global society.

Arnab Chatterjee graduated with an honours degree in Chemistry from Oriel College, University of Oxford in 2000. Between 2000 and 2004, he worked for Professor John Foord, in the Oxford Centre for Surface Science, developing novel semiconductors for use in electrochemical applications.

Prof. Dr. Louise Connell heads the Embodied Cognition Lab in the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Manchester.  She has an interdisciplinary background in cognitive science, experimental psychology and computer science.  Her research concentrates on investigating the nature of mental representations using a variety of behavioural techniques.

Ellen Dunham-Jones is Director of the Architecture Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She is an award-winning architect and frequent author on both contemporary architectural theory and contemporary urban development patterns.

born in 1969, studied architecture at the University of Technology in Prishtina (Kosova), from where he received a master’s degree in 1996. Since 1997, he has held the position of research assistant at the Department of Computer Aided Planning and Architecture, Vienna University of Technology.

Prof. Dr. Steven W. Floyd is a Professor at the McIntire School of Commerce and the Frank S. Kaulback, Jr., Endowed Professor at the University of Virginia. Prior to coming to the McIntire School he held positions as a Chaired Professor and Director at the Institute of Management, University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and the Robert A.

Thomas Frank is editor of The Baffler magazine and author of One Market Under God (2000), The Conquest of Cool (1997), and the forthcoming What's the Matter With Kansas? He was born in Kansas City, currently lives in Washington, DC, and has a PhD in history from the University of Chicago.

Daniela Freudenthaler is product and business developer at LIMAK Austrian Business School and responsible for the overall field of „Creativity and Innovation“. Prior to this role Freudenthaler worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Marketing, Johannes Kepler University Linz and Copenhagen Business School.

Jamshid Gharajedaghi, Managing Partner of INTERACT, has more than thirty-five years of experience with the development & practice of systems methodology in designing business architecture, learning and control systems. His work has taken him into corporations and government agencies around the world for both private and public concerns.

David Griesbach is Senior Consultant of the Strategic Knowledge Group (SKGROUP) in Zurich and writes his dissertation in the context of RISE Management Research and in cooperation with the Swiss Institute for small and middle-sized companies of the University St. Gallen. The topic of his dissertation is „Strategic Agility: Managing the Balance between Continuity and Change“.

Born in 1971. Since 1995, Cyrill Gutsch has been working as an independent creative concept developer for strategy and design for major international companies. From 1995 until 1997, he realised several art projects in co-operation with the performance artist Flatz in Munich.

Cheryl is the founding Chair of the new MFA Program, Design for Social Innovation at SVA in New York, Board Chair of PopTech, a laboratory for disruptive innovation focused on technology and social change, and founder of Heller Communication Design.

Urs Hirschberg is professor for representation of architecture and new media at Graz University of Technology. He received his Diploma in Architecture from ETH Zurich. In 1993 he joined the chair for Architecture and CAAD of Prof. Gerhard Schmitt at ETH Zurich.

JEFFREY INABA and Peter Zellner are the co-founders of VALDES, an institution dedicated to the cultural promotion of low-density urban areas, or for lack of a better word, what have until now been called ‘suburbs.’ From 2000-2003 he was a principal of AMO, the research consulting office based in New York and Rotterdam founded by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas.

Hiroshi Ishii's research focuses upon the design of seamless interfaces between humans, digital information, and the physical environment. Hiroshi Ishii joined the MIT Media Laboratory as an Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences in October 1995.

Albin Kälin, born in 1957 is former president of Rohner Textil AG and president of EPEA (Environmental Protection Encouragement Agency). He is a Swiss pioneer in the field of Sustainable Development and claims an integrated management, balancing economic, ecologic and social aspects.

Dennis Kaspori is an architect and a founding member of The Maze Corporation, an office for research and design on issues related to the urban condition, public space and housing.

Jeffrey Kipnis is professor of architectural design and theory at the Knowlton School of Architecture of The Ohio State University. His writings on art and architecture have appeared in such publications as El Croquis, Art Forum, Assemblage, and his books include Choral Works: The Eisenman-Derrida collaboration, Perfect Acts of Architecture, and The Glass House.

Sanford Kwinter is a New York based writer and editor with a background in comparative literature. He is associate professor at the School of Architecture at Rice University, and cofounder of Zone Books, with Jonathan Crary and Bruce Mau, which includes the journal Zone, a serial publication of philosophy and contemporary culture.

Liane Lefaivre, historian, critic, curator and theoretician of architecture is the Chair of Architectural History and Theory at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Dr Kamil Michlewski is a Senior Consultant at The Value Engineers – a strategic brand consultancy based in UK. Kamil previously worked as a senior strategy lecturer at Newcastle Business School.

Co-founder of IDEO, a consulting firm dedicated to the user-centered design of products, services and environments. Bill founded his design firm in London in 1969, and added a second office in Palo Alto in 1979 in California's Silicon Valley. He designed the first laptop computer, the GRiD Compass, and pioneered Interaction Design as a discipline to be an integral part of product development.

Diller + Scofidio is a collaborative, interdisciplinary studio that merges architecture, the visual arts, and the performing arts. The work of D+S takes the form of architectural projects, temporary and permanent site-specific art works, multi-media theater, electronic media, and print. They are recipients of numerous outstanding Awards.

Jonathan Sergison was born in 1964 and studied at Canterbury School of Art and the Architectural Association, qualifying as an architect in 1991. He previously worked for David Chipperfield and Tony Fretton prior to establishing his own practice with Stephen Bates in 1996.

Robert Somol is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Design at UCLA, and currently holds Visiting Professorships at Ohio State University and Princeton. Somol was an editorial board member and frequent contributor to ANY Magazine, and the editor of Autonomy and Ideology (Monacelli Press, 1997).

Gerfried Stocker, born 1964, media artist. In 1991, he founded x-space, a team for the realization of interdisciplinary projects. In this framework numerous installations and performance projects have been carried out in the field of interaction, robotics and telecommunications.

Greg Van Alstyne is Associate Professor at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD), and Director of Research at Strategic Innovation Lab (sLab), Toronto. He is a design educator and consultant with 20 years experience in communications and creative direction.

Bolko von Oetinger is the founding member of the first BCG office in Germany. Bolko von Oetinger directed the Kronberg Conferences, BCG's renowned strategy conferences for senior executives in Germany. He also served as head of BCG's worldwide marketing operations.

Prof.ir. BNA BNSP BDA, Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion. Born 1937 in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He studied Building Engineer at the Technical University (TU) Delft.

Måns Wrange is an artist based in Stockholm who works with long-term projects in which he explores socio-political strategies for changing society.
