Robert Somol (US)

Robert Somol is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Design at UCLA, and currently holds Visiting Professorships at Ohio State University and Princeton. Somol was an editorial board member and frequent contributor to ANY Magazine, and the editor of Autonomy and Ideology (Monacelli Press, 1997).

Roemer van Toorn (NL)

Roemer van Toorn (1960) is an architect, critic, photographer, and exhibition curator in the fields of architecture, urbanism, and art.

Roswitha Königswieser (A)

Roswitha Königswieser studied social sciences and depth psychology, attended the Academy of Arts and is trained in group dynamics. She has been doing pioneer work for years in order to establish systemic consulting in business.

Sanford Kwinter (US)

Sanford Kwinter is a New York based writer and editor with a background in comparative literature. He is associate professor at the School of Architecture at Rice University, and cofounder of Zone Books, with Jonathan Crary and Bruce Mau, which includes the journal Zone, a serial publication of philosophy and contemporary culture.

Scott Lash (UK)

Born in Chicago, Lash took a Bsc as an psychology from the University of Michigan and MA in sociology from Northwestern University. He received his PhD from the London School of Economics (1980). Lash began his teaching career at Lancaster University.

Simonetta Carbonaro (S/D)

Simonetta Carbonaro is Consumer Psychologist and Expert for Innovation Management and Strategic Design. She is professor of Humanistic Marketing and Design Management at the University of Borås in Sweden.

Sonja Zillner (D)

Sonja Zillner studied Mathematics and Psychology, and did her PHD-Studies in computer science specializing in knowledge management. Since several years she is working as project leader for technology and innovation projects at Siemens AG Corporate Technology. She is consultant at osb Tübingen GmbH specializing on innovation and change and lecturing at University of Vienna.

Thomas Duschlbauer (A)

Associate Member of Faculty of Goldsmith College, London; cultural theorist and lecturer at the FH Hagenberg. Graduated in Science of Communication and Politics at the University of Vienna. Several research stays in the USA (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University) and U.K. (University of Birmingham and Open University at Milton Keynes).

Thomas Frank (US)

Thomas Frank is editor of The Baffler magazine and author of One Market Under God (2000), The Conquest of Cool (1997), and the forthcoming What's the Matter With Kansas? He was born in Kansas City, currently lives in Washington, DC, and has a PhD in history from the University of Chicago.

Thomas Held is the first managing director of Avenir Suisse, a think tank for economic and social issues, which commenced its operations on January 1, 2001.

Tomor Elezkurtaj (A)

born in 1969, studied architecture at the University of Technology in Prishtina (Kosova), from where he received a master’s degree in 1996. Since 1997, he has held the position of research assistant at the Department of Computer Aided Planning and Architecture, Vienna University of Technology.

Urs Hirschberg (A)

Urs Hirschberg is professor for representation of architecture and new media at Graz University of Technology.

Winy Maas (NL)

Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries are directors of the design office MVRDV. He was educated at the RHSTL Boskoop (1978/83) as a landscape architect. In 1984 he started to study at the Technical University of Delft, department of Architecture and Urban Planning. Here he graduated both as an architect and as an urban planner in 1990 with honorable mention.

Wolfgang Schwaiger (A)

After completing his doctorate in Business Studies, Wolfgang Schwaiger initially held a number of management positions in several large industrial companies, where he focussed primarily on strategic corporate development and communication. He then joined the large international technology firm (VA TECH) as director of corporate strategy, communication and investor relations.
