Diller + Scofidio (US)

Diller + Scofidio is a collaborative, interdisciplinary studio that merges architecture, the visual arts, and the performing arts. The work of D+S takes the form of architectural projects, temporary and permanent site-specific art works, multi-media theater, electronic media, and print. They are recipients of numerous outstanding Awards.

Ellen Dunham-Jones (US)

Ellen Dunham-Jones is Director of the Architecture Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She is an award-winning architect and frequent author on both contemporary architectural theory and contemporary urban development patterns.

Florian Böhm (D)

Florian Boehm is a research assistant at the Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics of the Berlin University of Technology (TU Berlin). His current work focuses on knowledge engineering and integration in aviation processes and aeronautical systems. Mr. Boehm studied architecture and aeronautical engineering and graduated with a Dipl.-Ing.

Fred Collopy (US)

Fred Collopy,   Professor of Cognitive Science Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University received his PhD in decision sciences from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has done extensive research in forecasting, design and visual programming.

Georg Franck (A)

Georg Franck is professor of computer-aided architecture and planning at the Vienna University of Technology. He studied philosophy, economics and architecture. Holding a doctorate in economics, he became a practising architect and town-planner in 1974. In addition, he was active in software development and produced a planning information system that has been marketed since 1991.

Gerald Fliegel (A)

Gerald Fliegel is Senior Vice President “Research and Development” – Business Administrator Siemens VAI Technologies GmbH. Born 1961 in Salzburg, he began studying at the Technical University of Graz in 1979 and graduated there in the field of Mechanical Engineering in 1984.

Gerfried Stocker (A)

Gerfried Stocker, born 1964, media artist. In 1991, he founded x-space, a team for the realization of interdisciplinary projects. In this framework numerous installations and performance projects have been carried out in the field of interaction, robotics and telecommunications.

Greg Van Alstyne (CDN)

Greg Van Alstyne is Associate Professor at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD), and Director of Research at Strategic Innovation Lab (sLab), Toronto. He is a design educator and consultant with 20 years experience in communications and creative direction.

Hélène Lipstadt (US)

Lipstadt was educated at the London School of Economics, Université de Paris I, and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in art and cultural history and anthropology. She has been at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning since 1997, as a Visiting Associate Professor and a Research Affiliate.

Helmut Dubiel (D)

Born 1946 in Essen, Germany . Since 1992 Professor of Sociology at the "Justus-Liebig-Universitaet "in Giessen, Germany. 1989 - 1997 Director of the "Institut fuer Sozialforschung" in Frankfurt. Doctorate at the University of Bielefeld in April 1973. Habilitation at the University of Bielefeld in April 1978.

Hiroshi Ishii (US)

Hiroshi Ishii's research focuses upon the design of seamless interfaces between humans, digital information, and the physical environment. Hiroshi Ishii joined the MIT Media Laboratory as an Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences in October 1995.

Ilya Prokopoff (US)

Ilya Prokopoff co-founded a practice at IDEO called Transformation that helps clients use the tools and methods of design to work in new ways, to address the challenges of the future, and to effect change in their organizations.

Jamshid Gharajedaghi (US)

Jamshid Gharajedaghi, Managing Partner of INTERACT, has more than thirty-five years of experience with the development & practice of systems methodology in designing business architecture, learning and control systems. His work has taken him into corporations and government agencies around the world for both private and public concerns.

Jeffrey Inaba (US)

JEFFREY INABA and Peter Zellner are the co-founders of VALDES, an institution dedicated to the cultural promotion of low-density urban areas, or for lack of a better word, what have until now been called ‘suburbs.’ From 2000-2003 he was a principal of AMO, the research consulting office based in New York and Rotterdam founded by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas.

Jeffrey Kipnis (US)

Jeffrey Kipnis is professor of architectural design and theory at the Knowlton School of Architecture of The Ohio State University. His writings on art and architecture have appeared in such publications as El Croquis, Art Forum, Assemblage, and his books include Choral Works: The Eisenman-Derrida collaboration, Perfect Acts of Architecture, and The Glass House.
