Barcelona, October 21-23, 2004

On the behalf of Hewlett Packard Europe and Auer CAD inkjet solutions Michael Shamiyeh was in charge to organize the trip to Barcelona with regard to content. 70 architects from Austria, Germany and Switzerland participated.

The main interest concentrated on the forum in Barcelona, as well as on buildings from Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue. Latter even accompanied the group to Park Mollet and Santa Catarina Market. Herzog & deMeuron guided a tour through their Auditorium in the Mateos Convention Center and Oscar Tusquets gave a lecture. Furthermore Vicente Gaullart awaited the travellers in his studio to show them the Socio Polis projects and the postgraduate course Metabolis. Afterwards José Miguel Irribas joined the group to guide them through the IAAC (Institut d’arquitectura advançada de Catalunya).
